Our current processing equipment consist of the following:
- Two facilities with over 250,000 square feet of indoor warehouse.
- Significant shredding and granulating capabilities.
- Toll grinding services.
- Customer specific regrind and repro blends with our proprietary blenders.
- 7 pneumatic semi-trailers for bulk deliveries.

Doug Harris founded Harris Material Exchange, Inc. in 1993 when he began buying, processing, and selling scrap materials. The small operation has grown steadily over the past three decades into one of Indiana’s leading plastic re-processors.
Today, Harris Material Exchange operates in Berne, Indiana and proudly employs over 50 full-time staff. The company continues to thrive in its second generation and remains committed to supporting the local economy, providing stable careers, and delivering reliable recycling solutions to customers and suppliers across the United States.
